Enviro Heating & Cooling Underfloor Heating
Underfloor heating
There are two types of underfloor heating, hot water underfloor heating and electric under floor heating.
A water underfloor heating system can be fed from your boiler, air source or ground source heat pump or solar water heater. The heating is controlled by a thermostat or thermostats if laid in more than one room. The room needs to be a good size to allow for pipework, it requires more work than installing electric underfloor heating.
Electric underfloor heating is cheaper and easier to fit, but costs more to run. It produces less heat than an underfloor water heating system therefore, electric underfloor heating is better suited to smaller rooms. Often people install it in just one or two rooms, again this can be controlled with thermostats.
