Today we completed a heat cell replacement on an Ideal Logic boiler.
The old heat cell had cracked and was leaking water causing the customer to continually top the water pressure up.

To complete a heat cell replacement most of the boilers components need to be removed. These get cleaned, and new seals are replaced where necessary, before refitting them back onto the boiler. When the job is completed the boiler is tested to ensure that it is fully operational and that no leaks are present. This is a relatively big job on a modern combination boiler and took us around 2 hours to complete.
